Posted by: blog Chronoswiss is a young company founded by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang in 1983 in Munich, Germany. It has garnered a number of awards and accolades in its very short life. The company combines strict attention to detail in design with intricate movements, adding its own distinctive onion-shaped crown non-reflective sapphire crystals on the front and and knurled bezels. The established European companies were undergoing a traumatic downsizing due to the advent of the inexpensive quartz watch. But Lang realized, possibly before anyone else, that this upheaval meant not the end of the mechanical watch, but only the end of mechanical watches for the masses. The Chronoswiss watches are known for their accuracy, and precision. In fact, the Chronoswiss Company may be young but most of its watches have won name and fame across the world. In year 1993 Chronoswiss was launched the Cabrio watch, a year later Chronoswiss released Grand Régulateur, which won Orologie's 1s prize! Orologie is a renowned Italian magazine. Then Opus was launched - an automatic skeletonized chronograph wristwatch with blue steel hands. Opus was selected Watch of the year by Armbanduhren magazine & the Delphis. In 1997 Chronoswiss was selected as the official timekeeper of the Super Touring Car Cup in Europe. There is another watch which considered closest to perfection is Kairos Automatique. The watch has been named after the Greek word Kairos, which was used by the ancient Greeks to describe a fatefully significant moment which should be seized. This watch features a 30 mm stainless steel case, guilloche pattern on a sterling silver dial, with automatic movement. It is water resistant to 100 ft. and comes with a crocodile leather strap. Kairos Automatique also comes in three different case sizes: the classical Kairos, which is 38 mm in diameter; the Kairos Medium which measures 34 mm across the dial; and the Kairos Lady which is 30 mm in diameter. The Kairos collection is embellished by 60 diamonds, one for every minute of every hour -- something that every woman owner of this watch cherishes. All Kairos models are also available with metal bracelets. The massive metal strap is crafted from steel and equipped with a user-friendly safety catch that can be readily opened and closed. A desire to own new, innovative, high-quality mechanical watches would remain, and even grow stronger, and no quartz watch would ever meet this need. So, he went ahead, positioning Chronoswiss as the watch for people who are serious and knowledgeable about watches. Today Chronoswiss has a rather complete line of classically-styled watches. There are chronographs, chronometers, a sports watch, and even a reversing rectangular watch resembling the Jaeger-Le Coultre Reverso. The Classic Chronograph from Chronoswiss harks back to the 1940s and 1950s. It has teardrop-shaped horns, rectangular push-pieces, a dial with applied hour indices and distinctively shaped hands. Chronoswiss has recently introduced the Time master Chronograph in both left and right handed versions. Chronoswiss has also released a repeater watch with regulator dial Opus is another class watch from Chronoswiss. It has a transparent back case back that allows the watch owners to watch the switching and winding processes. When it comes to enamel dials, Chronoswiss has a very special watch called Orea, which means the beautiful one. Some of the other breathtaking timepieces that have come from the house of Chronoswiss are Pathos and Rattrapante. |
